JFIF and JPG at a glance
JFIF
JFIF is a JPG image with a different file ending, often saved by browsers on Windows. Some upload forms reject the ending even though the image is a normal JPG.
JPG
JPG is the standard format for photos and is accepted everywhere. It compresses images well, but each save loses a little quality and it has no transparency.
