Can you recover a forgotten password?
No. We never see your password or your file, so nobody can help. Keep the password somewhere safe.
Does it work in every PDF reader?
Current PDF readers, including Adobe Acrobat and the viewers built into browsers, open these files. Very old programs from before 2008 may not.
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. The file and the password stay in your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to our servers.
