AAC and MP3 at a glance
AAC
AAC is the successor of MP3 and sounds better at the same bitrate. Raw .aac files often come from recorders and streams and are less widely supported than M4A or MP3.
MP3
MP3 is the most compatible audio format and plays on practically every device. It keeps files small by removing sounds that are hard to hear.

On servers in the EU, and only for 24 hours. After that they are deleted automatically.
