Questions
About converting WOFF2 to WOFF.
Does the font look the same after converting WOFF2 to WOFF?
Yes. Letter shapes, spacing and kerning stay exactly as in your WOFF2. The WOFF file is usually a bit larger, as WOFF2 compresses more strongly.
How do I use the WOFF on my website?
Upload the file to your site and load it with an @font-face rule in your CSS, with format("woff") in the src line.
Am I allowed to convert this font?
That depends on its license. Open licenses such as the SIL Open Font License allow it, while many commercial web font licenses do not allow desktop use.
Do I need an account?
No. Up to 50 files a day work without an account, and the results have no watermark.
What happens to my files after the conversion?
Your files are processed on servers in the EU and deleted automatically after 24 hours.
