Questions
About converting TTF to OTF.
Does the font look the same after converting TTF to OTF?
Yes. TrueType curves can be written exactly as the PostScript curves that OTF uses, so the letter shapes stay the same. TrueType hinting is left out, which can make very small text on older Windows screens look slightly softer.
Does it work with variable fonts?
Not between TTF and OTF. Variable fonts are rejected for this conversion, but they can be converted to WOFF or WOFF2.
How do I install the OTF font?
On Windows, right-click the file and choose Install. On a Mac, double-click it and click Install Font in Font Book.
Is the TTF to OTF converter free?
Yes. You can convert up to 50 files a day for free without creating an account.
What happens to my files after the conversion?
Your files are processed on servers in the EU and deleted automatically after 24 hours.
